Lid Tightening

Drooping eyelids or bags under the eyes create a tired facial expression, the eyes look drowsy. Bags in the under eye area are caused by bulging fatty tissue that surrounds the eyeball. With a small incision under the eyelash line these fatty deposits can be removed and at the same time excess skin tissue can be tightened.
The over and/or under lid correction can be performed under local anesthetic. The procedure lasts approximately one hour and usually requires an overnight hospital stay. In the first few days following the operation you'll feel mild soreness that can be effectively treated with pain medication.

The ideal age: The face is best restored to its fresh, young state between the ages of 38 and 50

Postoperative care: Bandages can be removed after one week. Stitches are removed after four days. Eyes burn and makeup should not be applied to the area for ten days following the procedure.

Risks: Are rare. The lower eyelid ligament may experience a reduction in tension. This may result in the lowering of the lid at the outer edge of the eye. The crevasses of the eyes lose their almond shape in the process with slight oblique lines from the outside to the inside. In this case a second procedure is necessary.

Note: The operation does not eliminate crow's feet. The narrow, white lines of the scars disappear into the eyelid crease. Possible discolorations may be concealed with cosmetics. Continue with "Rhinoplasty"
