When Merano was the capital of Tyrol in the late 13th and in the 14th century, the hub of commercial life was under the porticoes. Today these passages extend throughout Merano in Corso Libertà, Via delle Corse and many surrounding streets.
This is the pulsing centre of Merano, perfect for shopping in prestigious boutiques or in artisan’s shops, or perhaps sample an aperitif in one of the many fashionable locales of the city.
