In the heart of the town, Merano thermal baths offer to the residents and to the guests of the South Tyrol an oasis of health and wellness. The ancient thermal tradition of Merano is retrieved and interpreted in a new way. In the wide offer of health and wellness of Merano thermal baths, whose extension are 7.650 m2, the South Tyrolean nature and culture play a role of primary importance. The health, conceived as the most precious jewel of the man, plays a primary role, as well as the harmony between body, spirit and soul. A rich offer of baths, movement, relax, nutrition and wellness treatments drives at the maintenance and the improvement of health and wellbeing.
Water is the main element of Merano thermal baths. The thermal water used arrives on the surface from a deepness of 1.560 - 2.350 metres at a temperature of 31°C. This homeothermal sulphurous water is reach in minerals with a saline content comparable to the seawater. Moreover it's reach in sodium, calcium, chlorides and precious oligoelements as boron, lithium, selenium and iodine.
Merano thermal baths opened the 3rd December 2005. The visitors have at their disposal a Spa & Vital Centre, many outdoors and indoors swimming pools and saunas as well as a bistrò and a café. During the spring 2006 opened the Steigenberger Hotel Merano thermal baths as well as the outdoors park and swimming pools.
